Pine Cone

Episode:
All

Significance:
In addition to their unique configuration, pine cones play a critical role in the cycle of life. Those Douglas Firs that Cooper admires are reproduced through their cones which contain seeds. The small knobby, spare-producing male cones are usually on the bottom branches. The large, scaly female cones are usually on the top branches. The wind blows the seed from one to the other. The pine cone is the official Twin Peaks flower.
